General FAQ

Why does nothing happen when I click on Ignore or Watch User, Edit/Delete Message or Remote Menu?
Some of the services offered on the Boards use JavaScript. In order to use the above features you must have JavaScript enabled on your browser. (By default, JavaScript is enabled on browsers, you must have disabled it if the new windows do not work)

I've added a poster to my Ignore List, but I can still see their posts. What should I do?
The first thing to try is to hit reload/refresh on your browser on the Board where you can still see their posts. If you still see their posts, it's important that you have cookies enabled on your browser.

When you put someone on you Ignore List, the program sends you a 'cookie' (a lille bit of data stored on your PC which can be accessed by the site that gave it to you, but no other site). The cookie contains information on the users you wish to ignore. Without that cookie the programs don't know who you want to ignore. Once you've enabled cookies go to a post by the person you wish to ignore and then click on Ignore User again and it should work.

I've added a poster to my Watch List, but their posts are highlighted. What should I do?
The first thing to try is to hit reload/refresh on your browser on the Board where their posts appear. If their posts still do not appear with a blue image next to them, it's important that you have cookies enabled on your browser.

When you put someone on you Watch List, the program sends you a 'cookie' (a lille bit of data stored on your PC which can be accessed by the site that gave it to you, but no other site). The cookie contains information on the users you wish to watch. Without that cookie the programs don't know who you want to watch. Once you've enabled cookies go to a post by the person you wish to watch and then click on Watch User again and it should work.

When I click to view a file I get asked for my username and password again and it doesn't work. How can I download the file?
This happens when your browser tries to run another program to open the file you're trying to view. Go to the Main Page and hit reload and you should be able to download the file. This will not work if you are a Guest Member the best thing to do when this happens is to right click on the link to the file and select "Save Target As ...". Save the file to your hard drive and view it from there (double click on it in Windows Explorer).
